under cons....
When a player puts his whole coin(9 coin with queen) in his single turn, without giving a chance to opponent that procedure is called Slam. Break to finish term generally used for finishing a board during his break i.e white slam. For good players, Break to finish is normal.
Following are some facts -
* Break to finish or Slam depends on strike.
* It depend on players accuracy & ability to play all strokes(not only straight or cut).(List Of Strokes) Like Glance, rebound etc
* It Depends on concentration & building block approach of player(How to defence & open his difficult coins). Building approach needs good knowledge of strokes.
* Quick Decision Making in difficult conditions.
* Use appropriate amount of time dont be so fast as playing fast can even miss straight ones. Take time during pocketing straight & cuts.
* While choosing watch whole board that what to play after a stroke,
* Try to pocket those which are on center of board, as during slam also. Dont run behind coins at corners or side frames near pockets. well this also depends on situation.
* Strike should reverse or circular because in direct or double strike mostly coins go towards opposite frame and difficult to pocket. Try to break accurate and then start pocketing coins slowly & Slowly
* Self Confidence, Sportsman - spirit, Concentration, Control, Courage, Patience, Temperance, Contentment, Decision making.
The above facts are not for just hitting a slam these are also for normal playing
