Know You know all the concepts i.e Sitting position, Grips, Strike and strokes. A. Maria Irudyam knows this game by birth? I am wrong. Nobody born out as a carrom player. ok, know we got a Science teacher he thought every thing about medical science but after some time you forget it, if you not revise your lessons. Practice is similar to revision of lessons. you need great work on improving game i.e practice. You know that "PRACTICE MAKES A MAN PERFECT" so if you want to perfect in game then you have to do a lot of practice to improve strokes.
How to Start ->
Body Position - Sitting position, Body movements, Height setting, Footwork described under it
Grip - Choose your grip. Know play the game with that grip only. Choose the grip which is suited for your hand. That grip must be confortable. No pain in hand and no shivering. to make perfect strike in air while sitting, watching T.V or any other work you will got perfection.
Near 'then Far sequence is best way to pocket coin or you can say its best mode of practising
Keep coins near to you and start pocketing straight shots. First aim should be to improve your straight pocketing and pocket these straight coin one by one. then keep far from first and start pocketing. Similarly far far far i.e near 'then far. You should pocket the coin at every part of carrom board. Know similarly do pocketing with thumbing or fingring technique i.e back shot, POcket them. do above method regularly as straight shots are base of every shot.
After straight come to cut, Do same as i said in straight shot keep coins near and far and so far, but dont pocket it as straight kee striker in base lines(not straight) and try to cut it. See above figure you can keep coins like this and try to cut them. Similarly in figure two try to pocket those blady deep cuts.
I am sure if you are fit in these both straights and cuts then logon to double and rebounding by using same sequence 'near 'then far'.
Instructions ->
1) Never Shiver....if you cant control then take three deep breaths and start.
2) Keep Carrom on stand or table with proper height. Sit in chair with out arm support. Never keep it on bed.
3) Play in proper sitting positions.
4) Nail is also playing role in grip. cutting of nail can spoil your grip so always play with cutted nail' not with long nail finger.
5) Dont laugh or speak while practising.....be serious.
6) Always play trial board before any game.
Practice might not necessarily make you perfect, but it will
certainly help you improve and be much better prepared and perceived by
your audience. You’ll notice that nervousness and anxiety will
disappear as you feel more in control and familiar with your content.
