Precise is best carrom board!
Well every player in india says this. I am not saying that precise isnt good. I Want say very board is good board A good player never says that precise is good amco is not good or diamond is good or ....Every board have its own nature like pitches(In cricket). Powder changes the nature of every board. wll there are many companies like AAr kay, Diamond, Toys & sports, Surco, Sumco, Cospo, diamond etc etc. all boards are good just depends on you how you react to that PARTICULAR board . Try to practice on those boards whose pockets are equal to diameter of striker (little bit large) I have find some boards have large pockets and it is easy to pocket the coins in them but small pockets will improve your accuracy.
Applying powder
Dont apply much powder on board. It will change the nature of board and your game too. More powder changes board conditions at different places on board. The powder sticks in base of frame and rebound, double, second third strokes which needs striking on frames will difficult play. i was playing a double stroke the coin strikes opposite frame and slips inside pocket, i got stunned and my friends to how this happens. actually there was powder whch diverts my coin too badly but in my profit. But it cannot occur everytime so apply medium amound of powder during game starts and low amount of powder in game. Well applying powder also depends board to board player can understand wat amount of powder he need during game.
